Reporting to the Air Compressor General Manager, you will be responsible for the administration and coordination of all service jobs and sales order processing (but as with all jobs that's only a part of it. We guarantee you won't be bored!). We have a genuinely lovely, fast-paced, supportive office. And we'd like to welcome you to be a part of it.

Role & Responsibilities

Process all sales/service purchase orders for new compressed air systems, ancillaries, blowers, and services

Deal with customers via telephone and email to schedule service work

Respond to customer breakdown telephone calls and arranging engineer response

Handle potential sales and service inquiries

Liaise with suppliers, ordering service spares and new equipment

Process engineer field service reports and inputting costs into jobs

Engineer service visit follow up work

Delivering service jobs and sales orders for invoicing

Promoting the sale of all other engineering services including service contracts passing on to sales any inquiries and leads including:

o Leak Surveys

o Energy Audits

o Written Scheme of Examination

Skill Set

Current Compressed Air Systems Service Administration track record would be r-e-a-l-l-y advantageous

Strong technical knowledge of compressed air systems advantageous too

Proficient with office-based programs such as Excel & Word (honestly, this isn't just a bonus, it'll be difficult to do your job without it. If you have it - you'll hit the ground running)

Strong numerical and verbal reasoning abilities

Excellent telephone manner (but of course you have!)

Good under pressure & able to work accurately to deadlines (you'll always have people to shout out to if you need help)

Investigative, persistent & friendly personality, with a positive outlook

Presentable with good timekeeping (you may be greeting customers visiting EDC)

Adaptable, flexible & willing to learn (this one is fairly vital, but we can learn from you too!)

Additional Responsibilities

Pass over any referrals or leads to other divisions in the group when applicable.

Assisting with the month-end expediting for EDC Air Compressors 

Assisting the Marketing Dept. with mailshots and compiling case studies

Updating the EDC server, including commercial and engineering data

Assisting the Service Coordination team in both businesses (shadowing to begin with)

Holiday and Sick Leave cover in other depts

General Terms & Conditions

Hours of work will be from 8-30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday (4-30 pm Friday)

A half hour per day is allowed for lunch

Annual leave is 32 days

Pension scheme after qualifying period

N.B:  A 3-Month probation period will apply for this position and you must be able to travel to and from Erskine. One year's experience in a similar position will be essential for the successful applicant.
